Vivekananda Krida Mahotsav Achievement


In the recently concluded inter VKV sports meet (Vivekananda Krida Mahotsav-VKM), VKV Golaghat students performed exceedingly well. In both Table Tanis and Badminton, our students won all four golds in boys and girls categories.

Badminton boys - - Birstinna Bornil Bora, Arshisman Gogoi, Rainham Ahmed
Badminton girls - - Tania bordoloi, Dina Sabri.

TT boys - - Kumar Arnov, Mrinmoy Dutta, Aryan Ahmed.
TT girls - - Jyogyta Gogoi, Praptipriya Sarma.

In chess boys, Sarthak BAISHYA (VIII) of VKV Golaghat won silver. Kanandeep Kaur (VI) won bronze and silver in 100m and 200m race respectively.

With four Gold, two Silver and one bronze, VKV Golaghat was adjudged as Best Sports Team in the entire event.

Total 20 VKVs from Assam and Nagaland took part in the six-day event. This eight edition of VKM was jointly held in VKV Bargolai (Margherita) and Tingrai from 11-16 Nov 2017.

CBSE SPORTS ACHIEVEMENT


VKV Golaghat girls badminton team(u-14), Tania Bordoloi and Dina Sabri, became Champions at CBSE east zone games in Oddisa. In the same championship, Tania Bordoloi of class VIII was adjudged best player. In the final they defeated last year champions from Chatishgarh. This year, the game was played in Kantabanji Lions Public School, Kantabanji, Oddisa.

Universal Brotherhood Day


On 11th September Along with the entire VK, VKV Golaghat celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day at Amateur Theater Hall in a grand way. 

Dr Saumitra Pujari (Jorhat College) and Dr Paresh Dutta (Rtd Prof DR College) were the main speakers. Sri Gaurav Bothra, DC Golaghat also graced the occasion. 

There was a dramatisation of Swamiji’s life events along with Yoga demo and other few programmes.

TEACHERS DAY


Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great elation in VKV Golaghat and the students of class X and XII were the hosts for the occasion. The day began with the teachers’ assembly followed by the classes which were taken by the students of X and XII. They played the role of teachers and taught various subjects to their juniors. This helped the students to comprehend the dynamism and responsibility of a teacher inside the classrooms. All the student teachers including the juniors took pleasure in this wonderful experience.

This year the Vidyalaya invited the former teachers of V.K.V Golaghat and few eminent teachers of the town to honour and felicitate their efforts in the field of teaching.The rainbow of various cultural programmes prepared by the students started at 12 p.m. The hard slog and practice executed with finesse by the students. The programme started with  “Guru Vandana”  followed by the felicitation of the chief guests, guest of honor and all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the Vidyalaya.

SHANKARDEV TITHI

VKV Golaghat celebrated Shankardev Tithi on 23rd August,17. All the students from UKG to XII were present along with some parents on that day.
The program started with lighting of the diya. Borgeet and lokageet competition was organised among the students of Senior Houses.


There was a Satriya Dance performed by the students of VII and VIII (girls). There was a nagera naam  by students of class VII and one by teachers also.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION


Krishna Janmashtami marks the birthday of Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu.Janmashtami was celebrated on 15th August' 17 in the school premises from 8:45 am to  10:30 am.Lighting of the Diya by Principal Sir followed by ManglacharanAfter that "Bhajan " was performed by the students of UKG (Vivek).


On this occasion, our Annual School Magazine of 2016-17 was released by Sri Khirad Kr Goswami Ji

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION


It started with hoisting of the flag by Principal which was followed by speech. Students of class VI presented a Patriotic song (Galat Mat Kadam Uthao) which mesmerized the people present. Students from class KG to XII were present in the ceremony. The program ended with distribution of sweets and then our march-past groups both boys and girls proceeded to the general field for the Programme. The boys' group won second prize.

PADMASHREE DR. ROBIN BENREJEE JAYANTI


VKV Golaghat celebrated Padmashree Dr. Robin Benerjee Jayanti on 12th Aug, 2017 in a very pompous manner. The programme initially started from 10th Aug, 2017 with a wildlife photography workshop in which 43 of our students participated. It continued for three days. On the first day i.e., 10th Aug, 2017 there was an interactive session of the students with Sri Dhurba Jyoti Baruah, a renowned wildlife photographer, with the aid of a power point presentation, in which he taught the students about the basics of photography and camera handling. On the second day i.e., 11th Aug, 2017, our students were taken to a field trip to Hollangapara Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary, accompanied by Pranami Didi and Kishore Sir along with Sri Dhurba Jyoti Baruah. The students had a great experience there as they learned many new techniques of photography, using which they captured many beautiful photographs.

RAKSHA BANDHAN


On this auspicious and happy occasion, students of VKV Golaghat tied rakhis to fellow students. After the initial ceremony at school students, accompanied by teachers in groups, visited various places in and around Golaghat to tie rakhi and spread the message of brotherhood.

SAMSKAR VARGA


SAMSKAR VARGA is being conducted in our Vidyalaya every Saturday for physical, mental, spiritual and intellectual development of our students. Various activities like Prayer, Yoga Abhyas, Story Telling, Action Song etc are being performed by the students under the guidance of the teacher.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMP



PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMP was conducted for class VI students in V.K.V Golaghat. The camp was held for 5 days organized by our teachers Manash Bharali, Manoj Kumar Jha and Rashmi KP Bharali. Students learned various things to develop their personality along with Bhajans, Patriotic songs, Yoga and some games. Speeches by few teachers on topics of Rock Memorial, Patriotism, Swami Vivekananda etc. were given to motivate the children.

GURU PURNIMA


Guru bhajan, skit, dance, and speech marked the Guru Purnima observation in VKV Golaghat which was done on 10th of July instead of 09th July.
