International Yoga Day,2022

VKV Golaghat celebrates International Yoga Day on 21 June today. Yoga is the way to bind the humanity to oneness which rightly alligns with this year's theme 'Yoga for Humanity'. Students of class VI- VIII along with teachers participated in Yoga display where Surya namaskar & various asanas are taught and performed followed by explanation of Shantimantra. The occasion ended with a light refreshment distribution among students.

Yoga is the core of Vivekananda Kendra.Yoga connects mind,body & soul.Swami Vivekananda had a vision of empowering the youth with potential who will be the leaders of the nation. Yoga is the way through which youth will be conscious of their inner selves.

To have a healthy mind in a healthy body we appeal all to connect with YOGA.

RABHA DIVAS OBSERVATION

 To commemorate Kolaguru Bisnu Prasad Rabha ( Rabha Divas ) on 20 June,2022( Monday) a brief

program was organized during the morning assembly .To accost the occasion. Smt. Indranee Devi and

Sri Pranjal Hazarika, teachers of the vidyalaya addressed the students and the prodigious speeches by

them enlightened the significance of the day. It was followed by a Rabha Sangeet which were presented

by a few students of class V and class VII. It was an astounding performance by them.

In the second half of the day there was an INTER-HOUSE Rabha Sangeet Competition.The four Houses

were namely –Dhansiri, Kolong, kopili and Subansiri.

World Environment Day in collaboration with Kaziranga Wildlife Society

 Padmashree Robin Banerjee Trust celebrated World Environment Day in association with VKV Golaghat and Kaziranga Wildlife Society on 5th June,2022.Shri Dilip Chandan, Editor,Asom Bani graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the programme. Smt Mubina Akhtar, Secretary, Kaziranga Wildlife Society and Smt Sobharani Barkataky, Secretary, Padmashree Robin Banerjee Trust along with other noted personalities of Golaghat were present in the celebration. An inauguration ceremony of the acoustic auditorium at the museum was followed by sapling plantation, documentary show and few other programmes made the event a success. An appeal was made to Kaziranga Wildlife Society by the Trust to make the museum a tourist attraction. Winners of the Poster Making competition that was held yesterday at Vkv Golaghat were awarded prizes in the programme.
