To
mark 130th birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru , Children’s
day was celebrated on 14th November, 2019 with great fun and vigor
at VKV Golaghat . The teachers conducted the morning assembly for both primary
and secondary classes.
The day marked competitions among students ranging from
literary competitions such as creative writing and book reading to the yearly
football match between Secondary and Senior Secondary classes. The girls of
classes 7 to 10 also indulged themselves in a friendly handball match. The
primary children were shown an animated movie. They were also entertained by
vibrant programs put forward by the students of class V and class VIII.
After
the wrapping up of football match, the teachers served Kheer and Laddoo to all
the students in the tiffin break. The afternoon assembly was filled with
students from the secondary section to enjoy the cultural celebration. The teachers
entertained the students with chorus, dance, drama etc. Class XII, the winner
of the football match was awarded trophy along with 4 best players. Overall,
the teachers tried their best to provide a gala time to all the students.
