Personality Development Camp(PDC)
Personality Development Camp(PDC)- an all-round development programme by VKSPV has been conducted in the school from 10th June-14th June,2024.This 5 day long camp was especially kept for class VI students.Principal, Sri Achintya Goswami sir inaugurated the camp and delivered a welcome speech highlighting the necessity of this camp. There were different boudhik satras, discussions, Samskar Varg, Crafting, Yoga were organised in the camp. Students learnt about leadership qualities, Indian culture, time management etc. A clay modelling workshop was also conducted by CCA teacher, Nilutpal Borah.Senior teachers of the school were appointed as resource persons who conducted different sessions .
The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Bhaswati Chowdhury,DSP, young lady cop who interacted with the students with her inspiring words on how to face the challenges of life followed by various display of talent by students.Shibir Geet, Yoga(Suryanamaskar) display,musical performance such as Violin, Orchestra( guitar, dhol,keyboard,tabla), group dance, borgeet and a beautiful skit-"Digholthengia" . The programme was also attended by parents of Class VI students
National Children's Science Congress , Golaghat District
National Children's Science Congress , Golaghat District was held at the venue VKV Golaghat. 67 teams participated in the Science Congress where 7 teams got selected for State level.

Science Exhibition-2022
Science Exhibition was organised by the school to nourish the scientific temperament of our little buds. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Suvangshu Dutta, HOD , Dept of Chemistry, DR College.
World Hand Washing Day
World Handwashing Day is observed today to make children aware of Hand Hygiene and Cleanliness. A brief session with a demo was taken by our former student Dr.Shivangi Priyadarshini (Batch 2013).
PATENT WORKSHOP
Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt of India organised a workshop for the students of our Vidyalaya on 8th November,2019.The workshop was conducted by Sri Madhurjya Thakur, Deputy Controller of Patents & Designs, The Patent Office, Govt of India to make the children conscious and aware of intellectual property, importance of patent, copyright, trademark etc. Around 90 students participated in the workshop and the participants were given completion certificates.
TEACHERS' ORIENTATION CAMP 2019
A three day residential orientation camp was organised by VKSPV on 'Project Based Learning' for the teachers of VKVs from Assam and Nagaland at VKV Golaghat from 31st July to 3rd August, 2019.
The camp was attended by 148
participants which included Principals/Vice Principals, members of the organising team and the officials of VKSPV.
Annual School magazine Darpan was inaugurated on this occasion.
PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMP
As per the VKSPV Calendar Personality Development Camp for Class VI was conducted from 28th May to 1st June. All the scheduled programmes as suggested by VKSPV was followed in letter and spirit.
RUBELLA VACCINATION PROGRAMME
A vaccination programme
was conducted on 21st of August 2018 in the VKV, Golaghat school premises. The programme laid
emphasis on the disease Rubella Measles
caused by rubella virus and it was organized by the Health and Family Welfare Departmemt, Govt of Assam.
It was coordinated by Mrs. Lakhi Konwar( L.H.S, SKKCH) and students from class UKG to class VIII were enrolled for it.

The awareness of the disease and its prevention was
communicated amongst the students and as many as 1098 of them got enrolled out
of which 876 students were vaccinated. The vaccination programme received
widespread acclaim from the students and their parents and henceforth the
entire VKV, Golaghat fraternity would like to express sincere gratitude to Govt
of Assam in this regards.
SOCIAL SCIENCE EXPLORATORY PROJECT
Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha PrasarVibhag, Guwahati recently assigned a SOCIAL
SCIENCE EXPLORATORY PROJECT to its students from class 7 to class 11 with a
view to providing them an insight into the families of their locality and the
functioning of their social structure. The survey was conducted in our school on 20th of August 2018.
With
this objective the student of VKV
Golaghat school were divided into a group of 10-15 and the total no of
groups were 35.

A
group teacher was assigned for supervision and the 1st phase of the
project was conducted which emphasized knowing the families of the locality. As
many as 21 places were visited during the tour and the students were introduced
to different families.
A
questionnaire was also provided to each of the students for appraisal. The
families were asked several questions regarding their occupation, family members, toilet system, engagement in social
activities, agriculture, art& craft etc which inculcated a basic
knowledge about their social life, among the students.
The
VKV,Golaghat is happy for the smooth conduction of the 1st phase of the social
science exploratory project and offers congratulations to the students and
teachers for their active participation.
FLOOD RELIEF (OFFERING A HELPING HAND)
VKV Golaghat offered a helping hand to the Flood Victims and to this the parents, students contribution was very noteworthy .
The materials collected were baby food, biscuits, rice daal, mosquito coils ,candles, match boxes and all other necessities.
On the first day items were distributed amongst the flood affected victims of Haguni tup, Malhani tup, Milanpur, Jamuguri, Kasomari High School.
On second day it was distributed in Nagwa high school ,Jamguri M. E. School, Sagunitup Mandir, Daimaya Guri L. P School. Thus Vkv Golaghat successfully contributed to the victims as per their requirements.
PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMP FOR THE CLASS 6
A PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMP for the class 6 students was held for five days from the 22nd to the 26th of May 2018.

The camp started off with the Prarthana followed by
the inaugural speech of the Principal Sir which consisted of a few words
on the purpose of the camp, advice to learn about Swami Vivekananda and his
virtues to the utmost and the ways to become a good citizen of the nation.
Following this, the other programs of the camp kicked off beginning with the Bouddhik
Satra followed by the Bouddhik Vishleshan, Karyashala,
Yogabhyash, Alpahar, Geet/Bhajan Slokabhyas, Sanskar
Varga, Bhajan & Meditation and ended with the Kendra Prarthana.

The concluding ceremony of the camp began with
the Mangalacharan followed by the welcome speech by Shri Dhan Pradhan,
Vice Principal of VKV Golaghat. This was further followed by the Shivir geet
which was then followed by the sharing of the camp experience by two
representatives from the students Himanshi Todi and Tushar Cobra.

Further, the
concluding ceremony included Bhupendra Sangeet by Abhishmati & Co followed
by a speech by the Chairman of Vidyalaya Managing Committee, Golaghat Shri Prakhyat
Duwara. This was further followed by a Surya Namaskar, Shri Ratul Sir's Samaj
and finally it concluded with the Shanti Mantra by Meghali didi. Altogether,
the camp was a successful one resulting in lots of positive hopes among the school
fraternity.
SHIBIR SANCHAALAK CAMP
A workshop known as the Shibir Sanchaalak Camp for the
teachers of VKV , who were to conduct the Personality Development Camp by going
to different VKVs was held here at the school premises for two days on 12th
and the 13th of May 2018. Shri Bhanu Das ji and Su Shri Rebati didi
were the guests for the camp.
The camp was held in three sessions. The first session kicked
off with the tea and breakfast followed by the Bauddhik Satra, which
was guided by Bhanu das ji. This was followed by the 2nd session which
consisted of a demo by Rebati didi and Tarinee sir about how to conduct the Karyashala(workshop).
The 3rd and final session of the camp was conducted by Shri Achinta goswami sir
and Su Shri Ritumoni Didi on how to
conduct the Karyashala covering topics like Swachwata(cleanliness
and hygiene) and Bharat Mata (Mother India). This session also included
Shibir Geet by Manisha Didi, Pramukh of Jorhat and Sivsagar Bibhag. The
camp concluded with a demo on how to conduct Samskar Varga and Krida
Yoga by Manisha Didi. Overall the camp was a successful one which was
reflected by the success of the PDC held ten days later.
Badminton and Table Tennis Coaching
A Badminton and Table Tennis coaching was held on in VKV Golaghat from 15th March 2018 to 13th April 2018.
The Coaching classes were Organised for class III and IV, there were total 81 participants in badminton and 17 participants in Table Tennis.
Sri Subhrajit Singha and Sri Gama Pegu are imparting the training in Table Tennis and Badminton respectively
SAMSKAR VARGA
SAMSKAR
VARGA is being conducted in our
Vidyalaya every Saturday for physical, mental, spiritual and intellectual
development of our students. Various activities like Prayer, Yoga Abhyas, Story Telling, Action Song etc are
being performed by the students under the guidance of the teacher.
