WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION

 VKV Golaghat celebrated World Environment Day in association with Padmashree Dr. Robin Banerjee Museum Trust on 5th June,2024.

Students were engaged in various activities.
For kindergarten students, Balvatika I planted saplings, Balvatika II identified and pasted various shapes of leaves.
Class I walked around the school campus and were shown various trees and plants.
Class II had a tour to the Robin Banerjee museum.
Class III presented various masks of natural objects and had a spoken activity.
Class IV decorated the display board of the primary block with write ups, pictures and poems.
Class V decorated earthen pots and planted saplings.
For Class VI the activity was stone painting/ pebble art. They have drawn various designs on the stone filled with colours. The creative work on the stone was really admirable.It was an individual activity.
The students of class VII have made bird feeder/ craft from wastes/ fairy garden.
Class VIII were engaged in Slogan Writing & Display Board Decoration.
There were also Inter-House activities for classes IX-XII like Mime competition, PPT Presentation and Poster Making competitions.
Sri Bubul Sarmah, noted environmentalist and conservation activist of Kaziranga graced the occasion as Chief Guest and enlightened the students about the perils of climate change and our roles for its mitigation.
Dr.Shovarani Sarma, Secretary VKSPV also graced the celebration in school and museum.
