VKV Golaghat along with Vivekananda Kendra celebrated today Universal Brotherhood Day , the day to celebrate Swami Vivekananda's epoch making Chicago Speech on tolerance, unity and brotherhood at World Parliament of Religions on 11 September,1893. Principal, Achintya Goswami Sir spoke at length the underlying message of celebrating the day sharing anecdotes from Swami Vivekananda's life. There was also speech presentation by teacher,group song and Chicago Address by student. An Inter House Elocution Competition was organised among students. The day ended with ' Swadhyay Varga' among teachers reflecting upon Eknathji's book Sadhana of Service.

136th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvepelli Radhakrishnan ,i.e. Teachers' Day celebrated at the school with enthusiasm and joy.Students of VKV Golaghat celebrated Teachers' day expressing their affection and reverence to the teachers. The Students of class X & XII have put up a pandora of colourful show comprising of a speech, Poetry recitation, Orchestra performance, Bihu dance, Classical dance, a skit , beautiful songs , fusion dance etc.

VKV Golaghat felicitated and honoured two retired teachers Smt. Padma Bora & Smt. Shyamoli Goswami for their contribution in the field of teaching,thus,in the greater goal of Man making & Nation Building. The celebration ended with refreshment distribution among the teachers and the outgoing batch of X & XII.

Raksha Bandhan a beautiful tradition of Sanatan dharma celebrated on Purnima in the holy month of Saavan to cherish the eternal bond of brother and sister. VKV Golaghat celebrated Raksha Bandhan at school on 19th August, 2024.There was a cultural programme comprising of songs,dances ,poem recitation and speech followed by Rakhi tying ceremony. Few group of students were sent to SBI, IDBI Bank of Baroda where they performed Rakhi tying ceremony. The helping staff of the school also tied Rakhi to the office staff.  A lecture and an interaction session was organised at the auditorium of V K V Golaghat today with the help of Nature 's Beckon and Eco Club of the school. The speaker Saumyadeep Dutta spoke on " জৈৱ বৈচিত্ৰ চেতনা আৰু বিদ্যাৰ্থী জাগৰণ যাত্ৰা " . He also interacted with students and teachers on the conservation of biodiversity and awareness among the students.

 Robin Banerjee Janma Jayanti

VKV Golaghat along with Padmashree Dr Robin Banerjee Museum Trust celebrated 116th Robin Banerjee Jayanti on 12th August in a pious manner.

Sri Sanjay Das, noted wildlife photographer and environmentalist and Sri Dilip Kumar Pangging, wildlife photographer were the guests on the occasion. Smt Shovarani Sarma Barkataky, Secretary VKSPV and Sri Prakhyat Duwarah, Chairman VMC were also present.

Sri Sanjay Das interacted with students on various facets of wildlife photography. The presentation was based on some of his award-winning photographs. A photo exhibition by Sri Dilip Kumar Panging was also organised at the meuseum on the occasion.

Inter-house Quiz Competition was organised for the students in the morning after assembly.

An Inter House Photography Competition was also organised in connection to the event. Winners were awarded with trophies. The programme was attended by around 300 students and few other noted people of Golaghat. The event ended with light refreshment distribution among students.

International Yoga Day Celebration

 International Yoga Day Celebration: Yoga is unity of 'aatma' with the 'parmatma'. It's the unity of mind,body and soul.

VKV Golaghat in association with Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Golaghat branch celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June,2024. Principal, Achintya Goswami sir welcomed the gathering speaking on the significance of the day. A detailed speech was delivered by teacher, Manoj Kr. Jha about the importance of adopting Yoga in daily life for students. Yoga demonstration was conducted where everyone participated in various Asanas ,Suryanamaskar and Pranayama. The event was attended by 150 people comprising students of class VI-VIII, teachers and Karyakartas of VK Kanyakumari, Golaghat branch.

The programme ended with light refreshment distribution among all.

Personality Development Camp(PDC)

 Personality Development Camp(PDC)- an all-round development programme by VKSPV has been conducted in the school from 10th June-14th June,2024.This 5 day long camp was especially kept for class VI students.Principal, Sri Achintya Goswami sir inaugurated the camp and delivered a welcome speech highlighting the necessity of this camp. There were different boudhik satras, discussions, Samskar Varg, Crafting, Yoga were organised in the camp. Students learnt about leadership qualities, Indian culture, time management etc. A clay modelling workshop was also conducted by CCA teacher, Nilutpal Borah.Senior teachers of the school were appointed as resource persons who conducted different sessions .

The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Bhaswati Chowdhury,DSP, young lady cop who interacted with the students with her inspiring words on how to face the challenges of life followed by various display of talent by students.Shibir Geet, Yoga(Suryanamaskar) display,musical performance such as Violin, Orchestra( guitar, dhol,keyboard,tabla), group dance, borgeet and a beautiful skit-"Digholthengia" . The programme was also attended by parents of Class VI students

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION

 VKV Golaghat celebrated World Environment Day in association with Padmashree Dr. Robin Banerjee Museum Trust on 5th June,2024.

Students were engaged in various activities.

For kindergarten students, Balvatika I planted saplings, Balvatika II identified and pasted various shapes of leaves.

Class I walked around the school campus and were shown various trees and plants.

Class II had a tour to the Robin Banerjee museum.

Class III presented various masks of natural objects and had a spoken activity.

Class IV decorated the display board of the primary block with write ups, pictures and poems.

Class V decorated earthen pots and planted saplings.

For Class VI the activity was stone painting/ pebble art. They have drawn various designs on the stone filled with colours. The creative work on the stone was really admirable.It was an individual activity.

The students of class VII have made bird feeder/ craft from wastes/ fairy garden.

Class VIII were engaged in Slogan Writing & Display Board Decoration.

There were also Inter-House activities for classes IX-XII like Mime competition, PPT Presentation and Poster Making competitions.

Sri Bubul Sarmah, noted environmentalist and conservation activist of Kaziranga graced the occasion as Chief Guest and enlightened the students about the perils of climate change and our roles for its mitigation.

Dr.Shovarani Sarma, Secretary VKSPV also graced the celebration in school and museum.
